On August 27, 2009 in Sevastopol, under the supervision of the Inspectorate of the Main State Registrar of the Fleet of Ukraine, a raid check of yachts, small fleet vessels for registration documents was conducted.
First Deputy Chief State Registrar Alexander Schiptsov noted that, in comparison with the situation on the Dnieper River in Sevastopol, a certain order has been identified. During the audit, all necessary documents were presented in the prescribed manner.
Unfortunately, there were comments on the illegal application of the name to small vessels of a given size, which is not provided for by law. “Small vessels only provide for a registration number,” A.Shchiptsov commented on the situation.
This issue will be considered in order to quickly eliminate the violation.
In general, the situation in Sevastopol meets the requirements of the navigation safety guidelines.
The main purpose of this raid inspection in Ukraine is to prevent violations and to inform people about the need for a vessel registration procedure, followed by paperwork.
